i place an order
for nesting material
new year’s eve
over the river
and through the pines
the christmas star
frozen evening
the air trembles
my bare hands
christmas sounds
a boat parade excites
the river
relationships
my love hate love thing
with a mask
artesian spring
a child’s cupped hands
big enough
autumn afternoon
an alligator shares
a turtle’s sun
night feeding
the three legged cat
outruns us all
drying pond
egrets encircle
what remains
lightning strike
layer by layer
the heart
quiet day
skipping stones
across the sky
sweet spots
a turtle finds
the sunniest
a toadstool
without a toad
indian summer
downed tree
room enough now
for the sky to fall
wind in the palms
sounds i try to draw
into words
adoption
the cat’s eyes
smile
empty coffee jar
what i should have done
yesterday
evening storm
wind teases my face
with its mist
sunday parking
a few spaces left
in the blackbird tree
quiet river
splashes of sunset
through hanging moss
wind gusts
the sighs of leaves
in between
the shelter
of a squirrel’s tail
nor’easter
a squirrel
on the porch
the cat
tennis finals
raindrops bouncing
off lily pads
a hawk’s call
goes unanswered
september morning
a quiet hawk
in a dead pine
the noisy crow
heat wave
even if i wanted
to bake a pie
the taste of fog
a duck settles
on the river
between disasters
a vine covered cottage
old with trees
mayo clinic
a crow’s silent voice
beyond the window
