smoky mountains
a flower’s grace
six months past
arctic day
all the quiet
filled by birds
trail of tears
the snow moon
is so cold
winter mouse
all the tiny holes
in my umbrella
dark winter day
i hear the redbird
with my heart
awakened
by a silent sound
winter night
the spare beauty
of everything
valley trees my next tattoo etched in fog
face to face
with a low hanging sky
morning breath
trying to make
my footsteps whisper
silent forest
imagination hiking deeper into it
bare limbs at dusk
the gentle mourning
of one dove
mountains of leaves
raked into piles
evening wind
snowy forest
the peace i seek
finds me
tracks in the snow
a coyote deepens
mine
i rise
with mountains
autumn dawn
morning fog
all i no longer
remember
sound by sound
the case against sleep
night storm
creek crossing
i pause halfway
for a song
as if every answer is blue wilderness sky
