Haiga/Haiku/Tanka copyright 2011-2023 by Sandi Pray
at least crows
will still be crows
sea change
a bird moans
or maybe a violin
river morning
just then
the frogs begin
rainy day
returning boats
the riverbank throbs
with their waves
morning walk
a swallow tail kite
makes no sound
southern star
time is light
between us
mercy comes
as a white bud
wildfire
seeking calm
i take deep breaths
of twilight
in my hands
the turtle sighs
road crossing
a glass of wine
grandmother and bee
sharing dusk
swamp dark
a fish falls back
into itself
chasing a song
until it disappears
unknown bird
empty promise
even the day
sometimes
the last page
of my favorite book
leaving day
wild flowers
at last i've grown
into my own
empty mailbox the berry way i walk home
summer moon
window to window
the black cat
my tea
your coffee
summer rain
between showers
spots of sun tremble
with wildflowers
summer breeze
a story written
in meadow grass
the faintest tick
of moments passing
valley fog
