hissing softly
sleep comes to me
a white noise
over water
their sounds mingle
city and bird
yellow traffic light
i continue on
with the crows
entrée libre
the new moon plays
five thousand stars
a few seeds
for your song
river wren
reflections
a turtle slips
into mine
fading into the scent of jasmine traffic sound
the toll taken
by our footfalls . .
pet cemetery
river dance
the silence behind
a school of minnows
not caring
my voice is off key
redbirds at dawn
2 a.m. tweeting
the recklessness
of night birds
empty feeder
the indignation
of squirrels
rising
the pill is moonlight
in my palm
