dark winter night
alone with a cat
moon dreaming
pastel twilight
my footsteps fill the sky
with finches
leaving ravens
returning to sounds
a river makes
lily sprouts
the way of icicles
to shape light
even though
our time is passing
there are doves
whatever it was
that feeling again
bony moon
mountains of sky
how easily winds
fit around me
as if i were a vine
bare of summer fruit
winter zen
the colors of sound
wiped clean
morning
mist
the
old
mirror
echoes
me
softly
old barn door
open just enough
for time to pass
half-light
my pen catches
the last word
cold moonlight
spills thru a glass door
the brittleness
winter chores
yet just out there
maple buds
first thunderclap the echoes of startled birds
